ABOUT CAMPIALBA CAMPSITE
Christian Youth Camps (CYC) Pialba, affectionately known as 'Campialba', is a campsite located at the beautiful coastal city of Hervey Bay, Queensland, Australia. Campialba camp can cater for up to 130 people with the facility to accommodate 110 on site. There are also 6 powered camp sites available for caravans.
It's location on Hunter Street puts it within walking distance of the beach and major shopping centre's. There is plenty of parking either side of the entry driveway at the front of the campsite.
A large wire fence around the perimeter of the grounds prevents "non-invited visitors" from coming and going. We also have a code-operated gate which keeps young people safe whilst onsite.
DINING ROOM
As anyone who has been to a Campialba camp will tell you- no one goes home hungry. The dining room seems to be the heart of Campialba. It's where the meals are served and people catch up for a chat. Self-serve tea and coffee making facilities are available at any time of day. The dining room is attached to the full catering kitchen, which can cater to any dietary need or food allergies required. Equipped also with an industrial dishwasher so you won't even need to pick up a tea-towel.
AMENITIES
There is a male and a female toilet block, featuring five shower cubicles each, plus sinks, mirrors and toilets. Toilets and showers are also provided on some of the verandahs convenient to the cabins.
KIDS ZONE
Above the dining room is the assembly hall which this year is going to be set up as a kid’s zone and where Sunday school will be held. Lots of Crafts, Movie Night, Games and fun things for the young ones to do over camp
THE 'REC HALL'
This space is where all of our meetings are being held over camp. This structure, with its high ceiling and large floor plan and has plenty of room for seating. It is fully ready for any items, skits and choruses you wish to perform. It’s also all on ground level so no need to walk up any stairs this year and has its own toilets.
POOL TABLES
For those wanting to go "straight to the pool room", they'll find two pool tables, a piano and lounges to just sit about and relax.
THE OVAL
A large grassed oval is the ideal place for outdoor activities like touch football, soccer or even traditional Sunday School games.
TRAMPOLINE & VOLLEYBALL
Campialba holds one of the last "old school" style Olympic trampolines that has plenty of bounce left in it.
A full sand volleyball court located at one end of the oval another sporting option (or sandpit for the young'uns when not in use).
